Independence Neurology will be evaluating and treating a full range of Neurologic conditions, including:

  • Migraines and other headaches
  • Alzheimer’s disease/memory loss
  • Parkinson’s and Tremor
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Seizures/Epilepsy
  • Stroke and TIA
  • Neuropathies or disease of the nerves (numbness, tingling, burning)
  • Myasthenia Gravis
  • Evaluation of neck and back pain (Cervical and Lumbar Radiculopathy)
  • Diagnosis of carpal tunnel
  • Dizziness/Balance issues

Tests and Procedures:

  • EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies(nerve and muscle testing)
  • EEG or brain wave testing(Electroencephalogram)
  • Botox for Migraine

Steven Urbaniak, D.O.

Dr. Urbaniak majored in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a bachelor of science degree. He attended Medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine graduating in 1996.  He then completed required Osteopathic and ACGME rotating internships. In 2001 he finished his Neurology residency at the combined Hahnemann/Medical College of Pennsylvania Program.  He is board certified and has been practicing Neurology for 18 years.
