Frankford Avenue Family Practice is one of the oldest primary care practices in the City of Philadelphia. It was founded in 1957 by Dr. Franklin Stein in the basement of his home. Dr. Stein began a tradition of delivering outstanding health care to the residents of Northeast Philadelphia which continues to this day.
Frankford Avenue Family Practice became a member of Pinnacle Physicians Group in 2013. Pinnacle is a primary-care-centered physician group consisting of 27 physicians practicing in 16 locations throughout Philadelphia and surrounding areas. We are primary care physicians who share the patient care and personal goals of an efficient and well-organized healthcare delivery system that provides exceptional service to their patients.
Frankford Avenue Family Practice has been recognized for our efforts to deliver high quality patient care from the major insurance carriers in our region, achieving some of the highest quality scores in the Delaware Valley. In addition, The National Committee for Quality Assurance—Patient Centered Medical Home (PPC-PCMH) awarded the practice a Level III NCQA recognition—the highest level awarded. Their model of delivering high quality care based on evidence-based, nationally recognized clinical standards has become a cornerstone of our practice philosophy.
